Connecting Families through Play

Our play centre is a safe, semi-structured place for children to run and jump, play with toys, socialize and make new friends, take part in arts & crafts and storytime, sing songs and have a snack. Parents/caregivers enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where they can meet and network with other like-minded parents/caregivers over coffee & goodies, and be informed and connected with parenting workshops and other resources in the community.

Our library offers reading materials for anyone interested in learning something new or sharing a story. Visits from the Public Health Nurse and guest speakers provide our members with answers to health concerns and inspiration for maintaining a happy household. To help cover operating expenses, arts, carts & toys, fundraisers are regularly organized in fun and social settings around the area.

Guidelines

To ensure everyone's safety and well-being, here are some guidelines:

• Stay with your child
• Always keep hot beverages in a cup with a lid that seals.
• All snacks must be nut free. Bring water for your child to drink.
• Encourage your child to clean up their activity before moving on to something else.
• Turn cell phones to vibrate & keep usage to a minimum.
• No hand held video game systems.
• New families come to family place every day: Please welcome them into the drop in.
• Please keep sick children at home for at least 24 hours after their symptoms have ended.
• Have fun! Encourage your child to do something new when you come to family place.
